Synopsis
It was a weekend day that Alex was staying over. Sheryl had heard about this great berry-picking place, near Pointe-Fortune, and so we drove on over there early in the morning to pick rasberries. One had to arrive early, as the small hobby farm closed off it berry picking after just a couple of early morning hours. We then made a drive out of it, proceeding on to Pointe Fortune where we stopped atop the dam. (This was my second visit to this location with Sheryl. It had been on the first that I had discovered that the Ontario border was not at the dam, as I had always thought, but within town. After spending some time at the dam, as Alex threw rocks into the water and Sheryl explored for plants, we took the ferry over to the north shore and visited the locks. I then drove back along the north shore, reliving my bicycle ride of a decade earlier, as far as Oka, where we re-crossed by ferry.
