Foreword
My first rides to this area were in the Summer of 1974, when I first got my bicycle. During the split shifts I would work at the Hunter's Horn, I would go out and check out lower town. In those days, there were no bike paths. The Autostad was still at the entrance to Cite du Havre. There was no park at the end, just an ungroomed grassy knoll, where I would sit and relax while watching the ships and harbour.

It would not be until the early 1990s that I would return. Can't remember first time I came, but Iam fairly sure it was with Alex, not Tannissa alone, and was not until 1992 or 1992. I certainly remember the ride back from there with Jennifer and Tannissa, when Alex was riding in the trailer and banged his head at the Cote St. Paul Locks. We were returning from the 'Boat Park'. That was not the first time. The 'Boat Park' certainly became a popular destination during the mid-1990s. One day, Sheryl, Alex and I made a day-outing of it, parking the car near Atwater and cycling on over. Several times we came by car, parking under the bridge. I have trouble remembering the last time we went, as well. My documents indicate it was during the Summer of 1999, when Alex and I biked there.
